These are the screws we use and recommend for fastening our rubber feet, bumpers and mounts: zinc-plated Phillips pan-head self-tapping sheet metal screws in #4, #6, #8, #10, #12 and #14 gauges, from 3/4" to 2-1/2" long. A pan head has a flat underside that bears evenly on the metal washer molded into a recessed rubber foot, and the sharp, fully threaded shank cuts its own thread in wood, particleboard, plastic and thin sheet metal without a nut.

Matching a screw to a foot. Pick the gauge that passes through the foot's screw hole with a little clearance, then add the depth of the recess to the thickness of material you want to bite into, at least 1/2" in wood. Drill a small pilot hole in hardwood, and do not overtighten: snug is enough to hold the foot without crushing the rubber. Zinc plating suits indoor use and dry sheds; outdoors, check for rust each season.
